| If you ever visit Assateque today, you’ll still see some of the work that was done to develop the island. There are roads and a marina, but after the big storm in 1956, a lot of the development was destroyed. I think the Kennedy administration turned it into a national park. They said there wasn’t a need for another development because Ocean City was already there. But I think that was a great decision! Assateque has become a huge economic boost for the area. | ||||||
