| To be serious for a moment if I may, in the "Jersey Pine Barrens" there are nothing but pine needles and that's where some of the most devastating fires in the past century have taken place. I can't prove it but I believe they are more flammable and burn hotter than plain leaves? | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: If leaves and pine needles are such a concern for the Board of Directors because they feel they constitute a health hazard then just outlaw trees, the most likely source of leaves and pine needles! At this point, to my knowledge, the board has expressed no concern about pine needles being a fire hazard. However, you may be on to something.
