Bill: Your scenario assumes that the B/O/D makes a lot of headway between now and the new referendum. Based on their performance over the past 15 months I am not so sure. Is it the desire of the B/O/D to financially bury the membership in this fiasco as fast as possible in order to prevent them from stopping it, even if that might be their will? How about another SWAG. If the B/O/D was to stop now would the cost be more than the cost overage of $1,472,794.00? Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Yes Marty, I believe the losses will exceed the difference between the current budget and the anticipated number in the referendum. I posted this breakdown a week or more ago: for wild a** guess purposes, lets assume Blades $3,197,000 bid includes 15% profit and that the remander is 50% materials and 50% labor. 1. Expenses already paid -- $193,000 A Possible Cost for a Mid-February Shutdown -- $2,025,275 I'm sure you can take issue with each figure so lets see your estimate in the same level of detail. Please include all costs you think may occur before the earliest date you think a vote can be taken. Bill Z |
