Joe, That is old town inner city. JoAnn's family lived in pigtown. We have all probably seen the other side of life when poor did not mean bad. It just ment poor. In most cases it means the same today. When I look back to where we came from and where we are today and how our kids turned out, that is the true meaning of Thanksgiving to me. Ray |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I think some some people did live under a rock. If that was directed towards me, I lived the first 5 years of my life near the corner of Fremont Avenue and Washington Boulevard in Baltimore, then moved back to the same general area of Pigtown and lived at the corner of Cross & Carroll Sts. over my parents grocery store from 13 until I maried. I do know a little about what is now called the "inner city." It doesn't get any more inner than Pigtown. |
