Groundbreaking for the Worcester County Veterans Memorial at Ocean Pines took place on 11/11/2004 - Veterans Day. In this segment of Focus we bring you coverage of ceremony -- from beginning to end.
Keynote speaker Dan Stachurski's eloquent conclusion expressed the purpose and meaning of this ceremony: "It is a good and necessary thing we do here today. Let us do it together. Let us do it well. Let us never forget why we have done this thing today."
In a following segment Focus host Jack Barnes interviews Memorial Fund committee members, County Commissioners Boggs and Cetola, OPA President Dan Stachurski, and a number of veterans on hand for the event.
