Faced with a possible shortfall in income for the 2006/2007 Budget, the OPA Board of Directors voted on February 22, 2006 to increase lot assessments by $30 per year for the 2006/2007 fiscal year. The motion was made by Reid Sterrett. Vote was Kelley, Sterrett, Duffy, Stachurski, Venit voting to approve the increase. George Coleburn voted in opposition. Cook absent.
Mark Venit initially made a motion that would have left the increase at the previously set number of $20. Venit made a case that increased income from marketing would offset the $83,000 shortfall in income based on staff projections. Venit's motion failed with Stachurski, Coleburn, Duffy voting against; Kelley, Sterrett, Venit voting for.
