OPA Board of Directors votes to approve Mark Venit's proposals for marketing Ocean Pines amenities. Discussion becomes somewhat heated when Janet Kelley suggested Venit has a conflict of interest in suggesting OPA do some advertising on OceanPinesForum.com because of a recent forum poll. Kelley proposed an amendment to eliminate the forum. It failed for lack of a second. The proposal includes advertising on several web sites, TV, possibly radio, and print. The cost was under the previously approved board budget.
Interestingly, at the final bell Kelley voted for Venit's motion, and the vote was unanimous.
