Community Center "point man" Dan Stachurski said he was "cautiously optimistic" after the bid opening. Stachurski said the final overall costs would be available to the community on Friday or Monday. Construction manager Nelson Young of SPN will be coming up with additional costs to be added to the building structure -- parking, lighhting, etc. The board will likely vote on whether or not to proceed at a special meeting called for August 10.

At 1:00 p.m. on 8-1-06 bids for the construction of the OPA Community Center were received and opened. The bid results are as follows:
