The result of the Community Center referendum was announced this morning (6/1/2007)during a special meeting of the Board. The result was a resounding:
NO!
Ballots returned: 6,139
Ballots rejected/voided: 61
Approve referendum: 2,559
Disapprove referendum: 3,519
Following the announcement the board voted unanimously to task the GM and legal council to effectively "shut down" the project.
