if we wanted to build an addition onto our house at 22 heron isle i would not even ask for a permit. we have enough land and it would be a fine addition with windows looking out on manklin creek. then if ECC showed up and told me to tear it down i'd say shoot me.

i assume you are joking, but, for the record, should you do that you would be in deep you know what.  when you purchased your property you "signed on" to the DRs of your section.  you must obtain approval for an addition.  things have changed in the ARC and reasonable requests are routinely approved where just two years ago they were not.  you would be forcing the ARC and management to take you to court.  not good.
