Apparently there was some excitement at the Yacht Club late yesterday afternoon.

A member of the OPA Board of Directors, his wife and a couple of guests went to the Yacht Club to have a few drinks and something to eat. They sat at the bar.

Meantime, another group of perhaps 50 people, apparently attending some social function of the Ocean Pines Board of Golf Governors, were in the downstairs dining area.

At some point a gentleman with the golf group approached the board member and asked to speak with him. The board member extended his hand to shake hands and the golf person refused while making some accusatory and insulting comment. The board member turned to walk away and the golf person grabbed the board member. It was apparently not a pretty scene.

The golf member eventually went back to his table. He was seated with two other board members. It also seems at least some of the golf group later apologized for the actions of the golfer in question.

Another interesting aspect of the afternoon entertainment was that the board member was told the Golf Governor social group was being provided free food, courtesy of the Yacht Club.
