Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Yacht Club Hijinks Msg# 556757

My biggest concern is that the cost of the room, set up, and the food is charged to the Yacht Club and not the Golf Operation. Why should it be charged to the "golf operation?" What the heck are you suggesting? If social clubs, and that is what the Golf Governors are, get free food then let's form the Ocean Pines Forum Social Club and head for the Yacht Club. What about OPTC? should they receive free food and have it charged to the tennis operation? OPA throws the Kiwanis out of the Country Club because it wants to bring in free food supplied by another restaurant, then hosts a social club at the Yacht Club and provides free food. Seriously, however, there may be much larger issues with "freebies" than we are currently discussing. As a board member why don't you inquire about how many comp tickets were distributed for the New Years party. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Al: My biggest concern is that the cost of the room, set up, and the food is charged to the Yacht Club and not the Golf Operation. Does that make any sense? Marty |
