1st meeting 2/5/08 - I was told to go search out other employment opportunities and come back three days later with a list of those options WHAT!? As a sales manager I hired and fired my share of people but never heard of such a thing as asking employees about to be fired to bring back a list of other job options. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: That is EXACTLY what I am saying..... 1st meeting 2/5/08 - I was told to go search out other employment opportunities and come back three days later with a list of those options 2nd meeting (3 days later)- verbally terminated but explained that no written paper trail existed and that he needed a few weeks to get an evaluation together. We could meet again 10 days later and he would have my evaluation completed with my exit strategy listed. Oh, and he needed an in depth written report explaining all that my department would be responsible for the next four months. 3rd meeting 2/20/08- Evaluation completed (in front of me) and reviewed. Exit strategy consisted of my final date of employment (3/20/08). Was instructed to make sure that all print and media campaigns be completed for the next three months. All marketing ideas ( you know ideas, things that I did without instruction) be implemented so that I could "feel good" about my contributions to the team. And in return for all this work I would be allowed to keep my job for thirty days from 2/20/08. You can't make this stuff up Joe, especially since it is ALL documented with dates! |
