Joe -- I'm still thinking about that and trying to gather my own information and data related to that question.  But, it is possible to be grateful to Nancy, Marty and Bill for the time they took to review the site and plan and happy that things don't seem as bad as originally thought without thinking that both fire stations are necessary.

I will make my decision after reviewing all the facts.  So far I don't think I have them.

It seems to me that there are a lot of different issues swirling around the topic of the fire houses. Though they are tightly related, I need to separate them out in order to sort things out:

*  Was a contract signed outside the limits of the by-laws and OPA Board procedures.

*  What does the OPA Board do in a case like this.  If nothing, why?  If something what?

*  Whether two firehouses are necessary.

*  Whether WHP is the place for a second fire house if one is necessary. 

*  If the fire house is necessary and WHP is the only place, then how the plan impacts nearby residences and the ecology of WHP.

I'm tired and slow this week, so may not have an answer for you about any of these.  But, believe me... my entire family is thinking about all of these issues and how to respond to them all.
