There's a lot of truth in what you're saying, and in the verse, but unfortunately people won't recognize or appreciate it until it's gone. Even though I find it somewhat annoying that Nancy Weber always references 1969, there is a lot of value in her memory of what Ocean Pines looked like. I have also seen many changes in my short 12 years of residence here. I went to the Yacht Club pool today and I felt like I was an inhabitant of a retirement community. Then we went to S&R and it was full of children and families. There are many different age groups that live in OP and I think we should preserve our natural beauty for the younger members of our community. I never camped in WHP but my family has enjoyed many years of Easter Celebrations, Halloween Celebrations, summer camp and Concerts in the Park. I guess I'm getting old. |
