On one hand you say Ocean Pines is "in excellent financial condition" and then in the next breath you cry and cry about the -$417,944.00 loss generate by the big three amenities, pools, Yacht Club and golf. Even a financially strong HOA should worry a great deal about any business operations that cost association members $400,000 when the potential for profit exists. I realize this is a difficult concept for folks like Ray Unger who believes amenities are supposed to lose money, but I have a feeling you agree with my view. The reason I did not support the budget was because I thought, and still do, that it was falsely inflated by phantom projects in order to continue to build reserves for some yet un named and probably un necessary future expansion. |
