$105 once in one year or $35 for three years -- doesn't seem like either should bust the budget of any lot OWNER in OPA. 52% of the lots are second homes or investments, for starters. Having said that, I believe the best approach was to spread it out since even if only one person were impacted it would protect that person and the net result for OPA is essentially the same -- one or three years. BTW, Gomsak and others on the committee worked closely with the GM to work out the final version that spread it out. Of course few association members know what transpires becasue they don't attend meetings, board or committee. Easier to rely on rumor or innuendo. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: So the board decided to get the $105 over several years. I'm sure this provdies association mmebers with a great deal of comfort ........... It's certainly easier for people to pay a $105 increase spread over three years than $105 at once. It's disquieting that anyone could support a $105 increase, especially after members had just taken a $150 hit. ........and has kept many from the poor house. This might come as a shock to you, but I suspect many in OPA don't have the budget you apparently enjoy. |
