Here is your original comment: Also, as Pete Gomsak has been a member of the Food and Beverage Committee, which is inexorably linked to the financial losses of the Yacht Club, it would seem that those committee members may have been part of OPA's problems. If that isn't an implicit accusation that Gomsak and other committee members are part of the problem related to YC losses, I don't know what is. You are condemning the very people who recently volunteered to look into how to solve the problem of losses. I'm not sure how anyone would know what the committee does or doesn't do since regular association members never attend. If there is a message in your quote above, it is that anyone thinking about running for the board should not volunteer for committees; better to arrive as an unknown than be suspected of being a part of the problem just for volunteering to try and be a part of the solution. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Are you, perhaps, confusing the Clubs Committee, which is responsible for promoting the Clubs in OP, and the Food and Beverage Committee, which was formed to look into the losses of the YC, etc? I don't understand how a committee formed for that purpose could be held responsible for the losses. Gail: I believe you may have misread my message. I specifically said I did not hold Mr. Gomsak responsible for any YC losses. Initially, my comment to Joe was, if he was on that committee, what did they accomplish; we still have major losses at the YC. Linda |
