Instead of giving Bob Thompson a raise that money would have been better spent on hiring a manager to oversee food operations in our clubs. A base salary and a modest bonus based on operating profit.
Something is definitely wrong if the place has been packed and we lose more money. It could be poor operational efficiency or it could be something else. Something is fishy other than the seafood on the menu. If it were my business, I would be checking what's going out the back door. It's a tough reality, but I've seen it many times, and by people you would never suspect. It's usually because a business is run in such a lax manner that the opportunity is there. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Here is what everyone does not seem to get, not one board member has any experience in the hospitality business! When you add in employees who have no experience, you lose money! The HOA has no business running a business! |
