Maybe it was provided by the newspapers at no cost as a community service . Then maybe not.
Larry I would expect our Board and GM to promote passage of the referendum. But am also concerned with the overkill. Between the multiple meeting with refreshments, the tours, the letters, the newspaper advertisements, and the referendum itself I believe tens of thousands was spent. On top of that an attempt was made to intimidate the local papers so they would only print positive comments. (happily, some were more courageous then others) But lets see now! $10,000 plus divided by 8448 members =$1.18 Wow, only $1.18 per member. That's cheap so I guess it must be OK. Norm |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Terry, If you are concerned about wasting money on glossy inserts, I assume that you have not seen the full page ads in several local news papers which promote the current YC referendum vote. Maybe it was provided by the newspapers at no cost as a community service . Then maybe not. Larry |
