I agree. Maybe more people would have been inclined to vote "yes" if they had someone lined up already who had also been involved in the design phase of the building. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Norm; Leasing the Yacht Club restauraunt to an experienced operator may be the most sensible solution. As you point out, if they operate other restaurants they may be able to train, transfer and be much more effective with personnel, even the manager if the Yacht Club closes for any period of time in the off season. The Board would need to allow the leesee to set his own hours and length of season. They should be able to make suggestions, but the final decision should be with the operator. Depending on the operator they may actually be albe to draw more outside business and be profitable more than just June, July and August. The Red Roost near White Haven , The Old Mill in Delmar and Suicide Bridge Restaurant near Secretary certainly draw patrons from miles and miles away. In my opinion, an outside lesee to the Golf & Country Club is the anser as well. |
