For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I do not believe that the question is do we want to replace the existing yacht club with a new one or fix/renovate the existing yacht club. I understand what you mean. However, I believe the by-laws essentially prevent such a multiple choice referendum. Given your choice for something around the Sports Core, it is easy to see there are a wide variety of opinions on the subject. As I've said, most of the opinions have merit for discussion but in the end a majority of association members must agree on some approach for a new building or it is possible the old building will be rehabbed with no referendum. At any rate, the only choice now is for the new building as proposed. All other issues are sideline until this current referendum is decided. |
