I am so tired of hearing how catering is profit and reg operation loses money. I don't care how you or anyone else spins it.
Well, if the overall operational bottom line at the YC was zero would you even be thinking about the YC? Example, OPA makes an operational profit at the Beach Club every year of about $50,000. No one pays much attention to the BC numbers. If it were a loss of $50,000 it would receive a lot of attention. However, neither the board nor the membership has a clue as to whether the beach club should be making $100,000 rather than $50,000. Point is, no one cares if there is no substantive loss. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe. I am so tired of hearing how catering is profit and reg operation loses money. I don't care how you or anyone else spins it. The yc loses money every year. Until a business plan is presented on how the bleeding is to be stopped; why should 4.5mill. Be thrown into the yc to build the same thing that will still lose money even with catering. I for one will vote using common scense.... Robert |
