Ron, Ray doesn't seem to understand the issue.
The National Weather Service posted the Worcester evacuation alert at 11:10 AM. To do so, they had to receive it from Worcester County. OPA did not notify members until some two hours or more later. Two possible scenarios, either Worcester did not notify OPA or Worcester did and OPA dropped the ball. I also believe in a storm situation OPAshould be religiously checking the National Weather Service alerts. In the final analysis, OPA is not a reliable source for storm information, and I doubt it ever will be. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Ray: I actually feel that update #3 was well done and I understand that Bob would want to have accurate data but that is what should have been communicated. ie, further updates will be made available to residents when available throughout the storm and during the cleanup process. We do want to be certain we are communicating accurate information regarding the storm. Probably what we really need is a good published OP emergency plan that can be used as a reference in case of a storm or other emergency and that answers all those questions in advance for residents and non-resident owners.
