Joe, I don't have the answer to an alternative. If I did, I would have expressed it years ago...Please re-read my post.
I did not say I left OPA due to the politicism. I was clear that my husband had died in 2007, and then my health declined. I had many great friends in the Ocean City area, but my family all reside in PA and DC. That is why I moved and returned home after 16 year away, to PA. We made our own wonderful memories in Worcester County and living at The Beach. We lived in many HOA properties during our lves. One in Ocean City, and three in PA. Not one ever created the contraversary and stress on the owners that some on the OPA Boards [current and prior] have found it 'in the common good' to spew. The Eastern Shore of Maryland is a wonderful place to visit, and I do so very frequently. The United States of America is the best country in the world. I am not going anywhere. I have read and enjoyed the postings on your forum for years. Please don't think it necesaary to sound like Mr. Ferguson now. My Prayers and Good Wishes to the entire OPA Community for Holiday Blessings and a Prosperous 2013. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: and the property owners should look to other ways to govern and manage OPA. And your suggestion for another way to govern this HOA is? As for your final sentence, Ocean Pines is a great place to live. Politics here is no different than in any other large HOA, or our state and federal governments. I'd no more think of moving out of Ocean Pines solely because of political wrangling than I'd think of moving to another country because of USA politics. Perspective is important. |
