For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I have no idea how Sharon Howells name came into the discussion. Because you posted her a message thinking you were writing to Sharyn O'Hare. You sure looked foolish when you supported Starchurski on the aborted Community Center. You are certainly welcome to your opinion. However, a majority of those who voted in the initial referendum also supported the Community Center - it passed. I don't believe those who voted for the Community Center were supporting Stachurski; they were supporting a new Community Center. However, if you feel the need to personalize every decision I or others people make for political purposes, be my guest. The problem was the support for the Community Center was based on a construction cost of around $3.9 million. When that subsequently jumped to about $5 million and Marty challenged the increased cost, support eroded and the second referendum failed. |
