Joe:
"Keep in mind the Association staff might well include some of the same folks who tried stuff the forum poll on the YC referendum last year" Really? Did these "same folks" also count the referendum votes for the new Yacht Club? Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: With regard to the Elections Committee counting the ballots in closed session, here is what OPA Board Resolution M-06 Attachment A states: “Counting Ballots. Counting ballots is the responsibility of the Committee, in closed session, with the assistance of a computer consultant and Association staff.” A board member just told me with a straight face that "Counting ballots is the responsibility of the Committee, in closed session, with the assistance of a computer consultant and Association staff.” is not a committee meeting. Let's see, counting ballots is a responsibility of the Elections Committee, but when the Elections Committee does the actual counting it is not a meeting of the Elections Committee. You really can't make this stuff up. Keep in mind the Association staff might well include some of the same folks who tried to stuff the forum poll on the YC referendum last year in support of the referendum. |
