That is correct. The $54.00 EDU charge is the current debt service charge.
Like I said the water is a bargain. Much like paying off and maintaining a home, the price to build is paid off over decades, additions are also paid off over years and maintenance and upkeep is ongoing. Having your own well and septic is no picnic. They can be messy, require maintenance and can need replacing as well. And that is for just one home. Remember our system covers more than just Ocean Pines and is a county facility. You can get details at the Worcester County web site. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Al, Apparently the minimum bill one can receive is $187.00. When we go a complete quarter without using any water or sewer that is the amount we are billed. The charge code reads: Water and/or sewer $133.00 EDU $54.00 |
