Most of the water bill is to pay off debt on facilities, maintenance, replacement and employees costs. You a pay $133.00 minimum per quarter to cover the costs of availability. If you had your own well and septic you would have to pay to install, maintain, pump out and repair or replace. 

Water usage is:

a. $1.60 per 1,000 gallons up to 10,000 gallons, and

b. $3.50 per 1,000 gallons over 10,000 gallons up to 25,000 gallons, and

c. $6.00 per 1,000 gallons over 25,000 gallons up to 35,000 gallons,

d. $9.00 per 1,000 gallons over 35,000 gallons up to 45,000 gallons, and

e. $15.00 per 1,000 gallons over 45,000 gallons.
