Sir, do you realize that the average heighth above mean sea level is around 6 feet in the pines? After a really good rainfall the grpimd water level can be pretty high. Flooding is inevitable, and if you believe there is global warning you know that flooding is only going to get worse. It would be pretty expensive to build dykes around the Pines and maintain large pumps. If predictions are true the Pines will eventually disappear into the sea. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe: I've talked to a resident homeowner on sandyhyook road, both his and his neighbors properties were again flooded after this last storm. He e-mailed all candidates and Board members for help. The water lasted two days on his property. I am aware of what was done, but residents in this area evidently do not think it is enough, because the area is still flooding. I do make uninformed pronouncements because I'm not informed as well as Board members are, or should be on the issues by dealing with them on a daily basis. This will change, and I will improve. Until then I'm just expressing my thoughts, not taking action, because I don't have all the information I need. As far as water service, I would like to have been charged for actual usage instead of at some higher usage rate that I have not exceeeded. This same concept is what I feel about trash service, I would not like to be charged for someone elses usage. I am malleable Joe, keep the community informed, and I will be watching.
