I just did some quick math. We built our home in '95 when there were about 6000 homes in the pines if I'm not mistaken. Using 6000 homes paying for water at $150.00 per quarter, $600.00 per year is $3,600,000.00 a year so since '95 we're talking about $64,000,000.00! That's just what OP pays, no idea what the rest of the county pays. I can't imagine the cost to install pipe and maintain it over the years cost more than Sixty Four large. I know, they pay to treat the water, workers, repairs, etc. etc. but it still seems to me that we are paying way too much especially if you only use water a couple of months a year and on weekends at that.
I would like to hear what other folks think? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I called in earlier this year and was told that the EDU was to expire/paid off this year, by someone at the billing dept.. Not sure if that is true or not. She went on to say, that is was for a bond payment that funded the original infrastructure. |
