| I was involved in the first of these backbone negotiations after Chase sold the utility to the county. As I recollect, it wasn't really a deal. It was more of a dictate by Col. Connell's successor. We had struck a "reasonable" deal and then it was snatched away at the last minute because the new administration didn't want to be perceived as conceding something to developers. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: From county web site: Ocean Pines Backbone Sub-Area user rates for debt service are established at $30.00 per quarter payable quarterly. I'm not 100% sure, but this may apply only in some of the newer sections based on deals made between the county and developers. |
