Nancy,A group of neighbors including myself went to a Board meeting last year where Dick Clagett made a presentation to the Board and GM on the drainage problem in Section 3. The GM was going to form a committee to investigate the problem. Shortly afterward several drain pipes were cleared but not much has been done as a follow up. When Kerry Nelson was in charge of Public Works much more maintenance was done on the ditches around me and the problem has certainly gotten worse.
Bill Hi Bill, It seems as if all concerned need to get on the horn when they see the need coming for clearing out those pipes..... to keep the water moving as well as it can. It doesn't seem to me that they need to hire a special person to do this. If the GM and Public Works are kept informed about the condition of the pipes and ditches in our neighbornood they would respond BEFORE there is a crisis. How many full-timers are around? I do realize that part -time folks can't do much if they aren't there to see it, but if we know what is going on ...from The Forum....we could help by calling the GM and Public Works. We do have a special problem in our area, so we need to be on top of what is going on. Thanks to you and the others who are looking after this. Perhaps some signs on the mailboxes at each end of the park road asking people to call might help, as well as letting part-timers who read The Forum. Nancy |
