I for one have gained some respect for Steen and in fact called the COPE phone number and volunteered.  However, I still hold Steen's feet to the fire for enabling the SportsCore pool cover.  He did this twice.  He agreed to absorb some costs when constructionio costs escalated to exceed the referendum trigger. And again when the County required additional landscaping and a decorative fence, which he also paid for.  

If you take political positions like that, you deserve the heat that goes along with it.  

He was also a party to YMCA contract.
