For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: If I understand the gist of all this it's to relieve the OP residents of any of the costs of our amenities. If that's correct, I have to cast my vote against this effort. The amenities are each and all a part of the Pines and regardless of the unfortunate situation that their use has diminished and that we all have to share in the cost of their existence I wish it to remain that way. Most of the problems of poor usage have resulted from bad decisions made by the Board that have literally driven away most golfers, swimmers, tennis players, etc. Fix the problems, don't create more. Look back to a time when things were working. The growing population of the Pines should have made the costs of the amenities less of a burden rather than what we have today. The amenities should provide residents the best of comparable facilities at lower than competitive prices and should be a reason prospective owners would want to live here rather than the obstruction they've become. What a shame so many board members consider saving a few bucks will make them popular. |
