In other words -- the county is saying you can have as many covered vehicles on your property as you can fit, junk or not junk, so long as you throw a tarp over each . Seems like tarps are not always required. Here are a couple near me that have been sitting in the driveway a couple of years. I understand that OPA has spoken to the owner but nothing is happening as of today. ![]() Image below from Jack Barnes - Image Title: Unregistered Vehicles ![]() |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Ed, I spoke with the head of the zoning department. They are not going to do anything about the case. My impression of their attitude -- the county has many more important things to do than worry about going to court and requesting access to see if those vehicles are registered. I also have the feeling the county wants no involvement on these issues in Ocean Pines. In other words -- the county is saying you can have as many covered vehicles on your property as you can fit, junk or not junk, so long as you throw a tarp over each one. Or maybe one could park 6 vehicles on a property and cover them with one giant orange tarp. So, as it turns out the county law on this issue is absolutely useless..... unless we hear something other from Jim Bunting after he speaks with the county attorney. I'll keep you posted. |
