I quoted that part of the law somewhere along the way. The case in question involved multiple vehicles. In some areas of the county up to two unregistered vehicles are allowed... it is the West Virginia Rule. how do we know whether the vehicle has current tags?? Where is Superman when we need him? One way, for the county, is to go to a judge and present probable cause for looking under the covers. Statements from neighbors that the vehicles haven't been moved for seven years or other visible items might be enough for the judge to allow a peek. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Apparently the current registration/licensing of a vehicle makes no difference as to it's compliant status. The key determinant is whether the vehicle is in a satisfactory operating condition. Hickle Well, maybe someone should actually read the ARC Guidelines as approved by OPA board after legal review by OPA's attorney. Joe Joe, I called last week, in the midst of all the discussion here, and talked to Barbara Carpenter at the W0.Co. zoning office. She is the one in charge of the Vehicle storage issues. In addition to some of the things mentioned here, she told me that each property gets to have ONE unregistered vehicle on it. I was very surprised to hear that, and I don't think I saw anyone else mention that particular part of the law. She also said that they could not come on the property to peek under the covers to see the tag....so unless someone else goes on the property and lifts up the cover.....how do we know whether the vehicle has current tags??
