The county defines a junk vehicle as one without a current valid license on the vehicle.
However, the law allows one such vehicle per residential lot, two for other properties. Net result, you can have one junk vehicle on your lot per county law, but not more than one. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Am I missing something? Here is the Worcester County code regarding junk vehicles. Jack Hi Jack, I did not have that in front of me when I was speaking with her, but what she said to me was that each property gets to have "ONE unregistered vehicle". I suppose that means that it has to look ok and be operable....not a "junk vehicle". Of course, it would need to be in plain sight. That list of rules confuses me completely! The term JUNK VEHICLES is used over and over, but she said that they cannot poke around to find out what is under the covers....so how in the world can they ever resolve any of this business if they don't know what is there? She was quite polite to me and I just listened...but I really don't "get it". Please call and see if you can understand the whole thing and tell us what you get. I don't have a problem and didn't really need to pursue the issue, so didn't waste my time on it. Was just curious...as usual. I am SO GLAD that we don't have any such issues around our OP house at this time. Nancy |
