What you also need to look for when searching those laws is the Section title. There are some laws that apply to rental properties for example. This is why people hire lawyers when it involves more than simple discussion. |
There was an article in the Post recently discussing why the country has gotten into such a state where our legislators seem to be not able to get anything done. They made a good case that much of the problem has to do with all the laws that have been enacted over the years leading to the current paralysis in DC. 
I did say in the beginning of this discussion that it is not as simple as may appear.
