However many of your notes lament how long it takes to get things done within our community, then when the Board decides to cut thru the bureaucracy you complain that they are not following the procedures.

I'm not sure my overriding concern is time. Be that as it may, I believe fairness pretty much trumps any rush to do something ... short of an emergency.

You say you have lived with the neighbor's two covered cars for seven years. Since you brought this up only a few months ago, this apparently doesn't rise to the level of an emergency. No typical junk car complaint is an emergency.

For me, fairness at least dictates the owner be notified by OPA of a violation. And then there is the issue of CPI refusing to issue a violation, believing the available evidence does not support a violation of two junk vehicles.

Marty likes to quote the DRS. Here's what they say for your section:

h) No stripped down, partially wrecked, or junk motor vehicle, or sizeable part thereof, shall be permitted to be parked on any street in the Section or Subdivision or on any lot.

PERIOD. That's it. If you recall, the county inspector would not even go on the property.

Anyway, from a personal standpoint.... if those cars haven't been moved in seven years, I consider them junk, and I sympathize with your desire to no longer see them.
