Kite festival and Wood Duck... We're in! Rich ands I could do Flash mob of two people and a "mob" of kites at Wood Duck. You know we have a "mob" of kites...and even kites to sail our kayaks. For those that want to paddle Manklin...other that Wood Duck...launch from the mailboxes on Boston Drive or Launch from the Mumford's boat ramp...it is less than a mile to Manklin, but winds, boat traffic and waves/wakes make it a good work - out and not for a novice kayaker. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Kayak access is not the only possible use of Wood Duck Park. Joe Hi Joe, It is a lovely spot to visit on foot or by bike, but any activites that would draw a lot of people at one time would not really work. Some folks might just enjoy the solitude and the beautiful view. Others might want to paint, fish, or fly kites. What ideas do you have for its use? Nancy |
