Coal-fired is the original pizza oven. Coal, burning hot, emits little smoke and burns very hot - +800*. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Looks good. I can understand wood fired but up here in PA they have "coal fired" and I still don't understand that one. A hint of wood smoke on my pizza wouldn't be too bad but coal? What am I eating....a locomotive?
