Thanks for reinforcing Bill Zawacki's point that it is the human who is at fault, not the wildlife.
Certainly humans are at fault.... or not. I don't ever recall seeing an animal in a court room charged with a crime. Nor have I seen anyone here say automobile accidents where wildlife are involved are in any way are the "fault" of the wildlife. Deer are a primary wildlife species involved in accidents with vehicles. According to State Farm Insurance Agency's annual report on deer-vehicle collisions released last week, 1 in 71 Pennsylvania drivers will hit a deer within the next 12 months, based on new claims data. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: A Canadian woman who parked her car on a highway to help a group of ducklings on the side of the road was found guilty Friday of causing the deaths of a motorcyclist and his passenger daughter who slammed into her car. Thanks for reinforcing Bill Zawacki's point that it is the human who is at fault, not the wildlife. Both here in the USA and in Canada. |
