Certainly humans are at fault.... or not. I don't ever recall seeing an animal in a court room charged with a crime. Nor have I seen anyone here say automobile accidents where wildlife are involved are in any way are the "fault" of the wildlife.

Deer are a primary wildlife species involved in accidents with vehicles.

According to State Farm Insurance Agency's annual report on deer-vehicle collisions released last week, 1 in 71 Pennsylvania drivers will hit a deer within the next 12 months, based on new claims data.
That's up 7.8 percent from last year.
The accident rate is higher only in West Virginia, where the odds of hitting a deer are 1 in 39.
As usual, the state with the lowest odds of hitting a deer is Hawaii, where 1 in 10,281 drivers will hit a deer this year.
Nearly 124,000 deer-vehicle collisions were reported in Pennsylvania last year.
Just three years ago, Pennsylvania ranked fifth in the nation on the State Farm list, and the odds of a crash were slightly lower, at 1 in 76.
Prime time for deer-vehicle collisions, State Farm says, is from October-December, when the whitetail mating season and hunters have deer running far and wide.
The average cost of a deer-car collision is about $3,900 - up about 14 percent from last year - according to State Farm.
