As a former board member, do you believe the GM of Ocean Pines should have officially approved a burial spot for a "pet" on Ocean Pines property? If so, why should any association member be denied the right to bury a pet on the property?
I was not addressing the issue of whether or not the GM has the right to approve a burial spot on OP property. I was just saying that to some a death of an animal whether it be wild or a family pet can have emotional impact as it apparently did in this case. My personal opinion does not count as to the GM's authority to allow this, as I am no longer a sitting Board member or running for a Board Position. However if any currentor future Board members believes the GM over stepped his bounds they could always address it in an open or closed session. In fact if the Board truly believed the GM over stepped his boundary they could past a motion stating the GM or his staff does not have the authority to approve the burial of pets and/or wild animals on OP property. |
