We both might be right. I have tracked down a very old, I believe prior to 2007, policy resolution 1-97-31, Golf Advisory Committee. In this document the the initial members of the advisory committee was made up of the existing Golf Board of Governors. The first new resolution C-11 was passed in 2009 and established an advisory with members appointed by the board President with consent of the board and in compliance with our By-Laws. This resolution was further modified in 2010. Finally around November of 2010 the committee and it's nine members were declared inactive on a motion by Pete Gomsak. We are now back to a totally independent golf group outside of any advisory guidelines, our By-Law, or board control. I'll bet this is just how the golfers like it. There you have it. Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Bull! Read what I said. I said that to the best of my knowledge there was never a formal vote by any BOD to accept the golf governors as a official advisory committee from 2007 - today. Well Marty, here is your post to me: Joe: "The board of directors recognized the Golf Governors as the OPA Golf Advisory Committee for many years. Perhaps Marty forgot this" I forgot nothing. Please direct me to the minutes or properly endorsed resolution where "the board of directors recognized the Golf Governors as the OPA Golf Advisory Committee". Never happened to my knowledge. Marty So, Stachurski confirmed my position that the board resolutions at one time set the policy for the Golf Governors being the Golf Advisory Committee. I know I read that resolution. Apparently you did forget about it. At this point, what is your point in disputing what Stachurski wrote and why is it of any importance at this time? |
