Ed, how many association members do you think read and understood the RFP analysis? I have to wonder how many board members read and understood the RFP Analysis.
One cannot hope to understand Terry's motion without reading and understanding the RFP Analysis. Herrick's subsequent motion, as amended by Terry, was nothing more than suggesting the GM look into Herrick's suggestions. Meantime, who thinks the GM will spend more time on looking at Herrick's ideas than starting Phase One of the Manklin Creek Master Plan asap? Even if Thompson does look into Herrick's ideas and recommends something be done for purely political purposes, and the board approves -- it does nothing to change the fact that the Master Plan Project train, with a cargo of up to $750,000 in costs, has left the station.... unless the board rescinds the $150,000 Terry motion.... and that is not going to happen with this current board. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: After reading the RFP summary that you referred us to and thinking about it a bit, I think I will rephrase my "could someone please tell me why they are moving the playground?" question. Could someone please tell me why OPA is destroying a nicely tree shaded quiet playground by cutting down beautiful mature trees to build a parking lot extension and vacant land? Anyone?? |
