Terry's motion is the foundation for a plan to build additional platform tennis courts along with converting existing tennis courts to dedicated pickle ball courts and achieving that end without spending anywhere near $750,000.
More nonsense. Terry's motion was to spend $150,000 on Phase One of the master plan. That motion passed and the GM is authorized to spend the money. Herrick's proposed amendment to Terry's motion was to not do the $150,000 work but rather build a platform court and use existing tennis courts for pickleball, thus eliminating the need to do Phase One of the master plan. The board rejected Herrick's amendment to Terry's motion. Later Herricks motion was changed to simply say the GM should look into it. If what you wrote above was actually factual, there would be no need to spend $150,000 for Phase One. In fact there would be no Phase One. All there would be was maintenance on the playground structure for $10,000 or less. |
