Because the playground needs attention now
It needs some maintenance, not relocation or new. The need for the maintenance was known a few years ago. because there exists the possibility of completing the master plan in the future if it can be accomplished for a lot less money than the current proposal would require. So move the playground then. Then again, there exists the possibility that some new board will eliminate the master plan. We should not be running this place on what-ifs. What makes anyone think the work will become less expensive in the future. If history is any indicator, the exact opposite will happen. Then again, maybe Trump will be elected and eliminate all the EPA regulations on runoff and OPA can then do its part in helping to destroy the planet. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Why would Terry push so hard to move the playground (as opposed to doing what should have been routine maintenance) if he did not want to see the master plan completed at some point? Because the playground needs attention now and because there exists the possibility of completing the master plan in the future if it can be accomplished for a lot less money than the current proposal would require. |
