Ed,
I believe at one point during the discussions that moving the playground and adding a fence would address some safety issues regarding children moving in and out of the playground area. If that is indeed the case (although no detail was provided to describe the "safety" issue) then it would support moving the playground. On the other hand no one asked the question "...could repairs to the equipment and the addition of a fence around the existing playground address the aforementioned safety issues...". I suspect the reason the question was never asked is that if the answer was yes, it could potentially derail the "master plan" for the Manklin Creek location. I have a hard time believing some folks on the board when they categorically deny that the approach they are taking is not the proverbial "first phase" of the overall master plan. To coin and old and popular saying, "I was born at night, but not last night". I am curious to see when we, as association members, hit the threshold of tolerance for some of the actions and lack of fiscal responsibility of this board. I for one, am close. Doug Parks |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I am waiting for someone else on this forum who is not as cynical as you to tell me why the board has approved the motion to MOVE the tennis courts. You are always suspecting ulterior motives. Surely someone else has a more logical reason why the playground is being moved rather than being repaired in place. Anyone, anyone?? |
