We will need to look at how we operate to be sure we follow the rules.
Also keep in mind that the IRS may be interpreting rules differently now than back when OPA was granted a tax exemption. Some of the ground breaking cases are relatively recent -- like Flatrock and even OPA's. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Marty I believe you are correct about our tax exemption not changing. We will need to look at how we operate to be sure we follow the rules. As to an opinion from an attorney... We can get one (maybe)... but it will not be worth much. Opinions are good for showing that one acted in good faith By getting legal advice before doing something... but no attorney can guarantee how the IRS will react to a specific situation. If we want that assurance we would need to get a formal Ruling from the IRS. Jeff |
